Safaripedia connects travelers with verified local safari experts, tour operators, guides, hotels, lodges, and destination providers. We aim to make safari planning transparent, safe, and informed.

Booking Enquiries

Travelers may use Safaripedia to send enquiries to service providers.

An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. A booking becomes confirmed only when the traveler and the service provider agree on:

• Number of travelers.
• Itinerary.
• Price.
• Inclusions and exclusions.
• Payment schedule.
• Cancellation terms.
• Refund conditions.
• Special requests.
• Written confirmation.

Provider Quotations

Service providers are responsible for providing accurate and complete quotations.

A quotation should clearly state:

• Total price.
• Currency.
• What is included.
• What is excluded.
• Deposit amount.
• Balance payment deadline.
• Cancellation terms.
• Refund terms.
• Validity period of the quotation.
• Payment method.
• Provider contact details.

Payment Between Travelers and Providers

Unless Safaripedia clearly states otherwise, payments are made directly between the traveler and the service provider.

Safaripedia is not responsible for private payments, payment failures, refund disputes, or service delivery issues where the transaction was made outside Safaripedia's direct payment system.

Travelers should avoid paying any provider without:

• Confirming the provider's identity.
• Receiving a written quotation or invoice.
• Understanding cancellation and refund terms.
• Confirming the business name and payment account.
• Keeping proof of payment.

Safaripedia-Managed Payments

Where Safaripedia provides direct payment handling, escrow, booking facilitation, or invoicing, the specific payment terms will be shown before payment.

Safaripedia may collect payments for:

• Provider listing fees.
• Featured placements.
• Sponsored content.
• Verification services.
• Advertising packages.
• Platform-managed booking services.
• Commission-based bookings.

Deposits and Balance Payments

For safari bookings, providers may require a deposit to secure accommodation, guides, transport, permits, and other services.

Travelers should confirm:

• Deposit percentage.
• Balance payment deadline.
• Whether the deposit is refundable.
• Whether supplier costs are non-refundable.
• What happens if payment is late.

Currency and Exchange Rates

Prices may be listed in USD, EUR, GBP, TZS, or another currency depending on the provider.

Travelers are responsible for checking:

Booking Changes

No-Show

A no-show occurs when a traveler fails to arrive, misses departure, arrives late, lacks required documents, or decides not to travel.

No-show refunds are handled according to the provider's cancellation policy.

Safaripedia is not responsible for no-show refunds unless the booking was directly managed by Safaripedia and specific written terms apply.
