Operator Agreement

This Operator Agreement applies to tour operators, safari companies, destination management companies, travel companies, and tourism businesses that create or maintain a listing on Safaripedia. By listing on Safaripedia, the operator agrees to comply with this Agreement, Safaripedia's Terms and Conditions, and all applicable laws and tourism standards.

This Operator Agreement applies to tour operators, safari companies, destination management companies, travel companies, and tourism businesses that create or maintain a listing on Safaripedia.

By listing on Safaripedia, the operator agrees to comply with this Agreement, Safaripedia's Terms and Conditions, and all applicable laws and tourism standards.

2. Operator Eligibility

Operator Eligibility

Operators must be legally allowed to provide tourism services in their operating country.

Safaripedia may request documents such as:

  • Business registration certificate.
  • Tourism license.
  • Tax identification details.
  • Insurance details.
  • Company profile.
  • Office address.
  • Contact person details.
  • Professional references.
  • Sample itineraries.
  • Proof of previous operations.
3. Accuracy of Listings

Accuracy of Listings

Operators must ensure all listing information is accurate and current. This includes:

  • Company name.
  • Contact details.
  • Tour packages.
  • Prices.
  • Inclusions and exclusions.
  • Destinations covered.
  • Accommodation categories.
  • Vehicle types.
  • Guide information.
  • Cancellation policy.
  • Images and videos.
  • Licenses and awards.
Operators must promptly update Safaripedia if any information changes.
4. Service Delivery Standards

Service Delivery Standards

Operators agree to deliver services professionally, safely, and ethically. Operators must:

  • Use qualified guides and drivers.
  • Maintain safe and suitable vehicles.
  • Respect park rules and local laws.
  • Provide agreed services as confirmed.
  • Communicate itinerary changes clearly.
  • Handle traveler concerns responsibly.
  • Avoid misleading promises.
  • Respect wildlife, communities, culture, and the environment.
5. Pricing and Commissions

Pricing and Commissions

Where Safaripedia operates a commission-based model, the operator agrees to pay the agreed commission for bookings, leads, referrals, or sales generated through Safaripedia.

Commission terms should be confirmed in writing and may include:

  • Commission percentage.
  • Commissionable services.
  • Payment deadline.
  • Reporting requirements.
  • Currency.
  • Taxes.
  • Cancellation adjustment.
  • Refund adjustment.
Operators must not bypass Safaripedia commission obligations by secretly moving platform-generated leads outside the agreed process.
6. Payments and Traveler Funds

Payments and Traveler Funds

Operators are responsible for handling traveler payments honestly and securely. Operators must:

  • Issue clear invoices or payment instructions.
  • Confirm receipt of payment.
  • Protect traveler funds.
  • Avoid changing prices unfairly after confirmation.
  • Clearly explain cancellation and refund rules.
  • Refund travelers according to agreed terms where applicable.
7. Content Rights

Content Rights

Operators confirm that all text, photos, videos, logos, and promotional materials submitted to Safaripedia are owned by them or properly licensed.

Operators grant Safaripedia permission to use submitted content for listing, marketing, editorial, social media, platform promotion, and related Safaripedia purposes.

8. Reviews and Reputation

Reviews and Reputation

Operators must not manipulate reviews. Operators must not:

  • Post fake reviews.
  • Ask staff to pretend to be travelers.
  • Pay for dishonest reviews.
  • Threaten travelers over negative reviews.
  • Post fake negative reviews about competitors.
Safaripedia may remove suspicious reviews or suspend operators involved in review manipulation.
9. Suspension or Removal

Suspension or Removal

Safaripedia may suspend or remove an operator listing where there is evidence of:

  • False information.
  • Fraud.
  • Repeated traveler complaints.
  • Unsafe operations.
  • Misleading pricing.
  • Unethical wildlife practices.
  • Non-payment of platform fees.
  • Misuse of traveler information.
  • Violation of these terms.
10. Independent Relationship

Independent Relationship

Operators are independent businesses. Listing on Safaripedia does not create employment, partnership, agency, franchise, or joint venture relationship unless expressly agreed in writing.

Operators remain responsible for their own licenses, taxes, staff, insurance, operations, and legal compliance.
