Where Mountains, Forests & Wildlife Meet
Located just outside Arusha city, Arusha National Park is one of northern Tanzania’s most accessible and diverse safari destinations. Dominated by Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, the park combines montane forest, volcanic landscapes, open grasslands, the Momella Lakes and the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater.
Its proximity to Arusha makes it particularly suitable for day trips, walking safaris and short adventures before or after a longer northern Tanzania safari.

Momella Lakes
A collection of alkaline lakes surrounded by beautiful volcanic landscapes. The lakes support diverse birdlife and provide opportunities for canoeing and wildlife viewing.
Ngurdoto Crater
Sometimes described as a miniature Ngorongoro, this volcanic caldera contains forests, wetlands and grassy areas where wildlife including buffalo can be observed from viewpoints around the rim.
Tululusia Waterfall
A scenic waterfall approximately 28 metres high, surrounded by dramatic geological formations and vegetation.
Serengeti Ndogo
An open area within the park where visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing against the contrasting landscapes of Mount Meru and the surrounding forest. TANAPA lists it among the park's attractions.
Fig Tree Arch
One of the park's distinctive natural landmarks and a popular stop along its game-viewing routes.
